Meringue sur meringue might be an intimate exploration of the excess. A kind of thwarted meringued photographic logorrhea.
Too much that doesn’t have the means to achieve its ambitions or that would be content with very little. Too much that doesn’t reach its goal.
And this, like the meringue, that too mawkish and too sweet pastry, with overly pompous ambitions and sadly old-fashioned symbolism.
A kind of ode to the small, the detailed, the too little, the ostentatious, the insignificant, the excessive
-through a series of photographs of more or less innocuous objects whose undersides are revealed-
An ode to the overflowing and overindulgent too much, to the basic intimate that dares to be flaunted, without any modesty or concern for interest
-through a series of more or less innocuous texts that are deliberately too intimate, revealing all their underlying facts-
An ode to failed tremolos that are comfortable with themselves, to tremolos pure and simple
-through meringues to be offered, through undergoing declarations of love-
An ode to the magic that's just waiting to happen when it's not there
Just waiting to burst through the cracks.
