Jérôme Mayer is an artist and teaches an interdisciplinary master atelier and videography classes at the Royal Academy of Arts in Liege (Belgium).

He develops a research he initiated at the term of his studies at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris through long journeys in Canada, United States and southern Mexico in the 1990s, when the recording and captations proved to be efficient tools to serve his absolutist quest to reproduce the past as a deferred present. His capture of the moment's trace has been evolving towards polymorphic ensembles that combine the ideas of living and dying at the very same moment.

Based in Belgium for ten years where he's continuing his body of work, he conceives Les Brasseurs Young Artists platform as an extension of his approach, injecting possibilities and asserting unique projects from multiple horizons, articulating his professional practice with the desire to offer emerging artists a gateway between perspectives and realizations by asserting unique projects from multiple horizons.
