Louanne Deltenre (BE) - La loi du Cerbère
Molded into squares of wax and glycerine, demographics of body parts emerge from the earth. Bone-less, skinless, muscle-less, viscera-less, only a delicious, artificial fat remains on the ground as a perfect lure.
Preys to the passing wind, vibrations, sun, heat and gaze. The bodiless are condemned and consumed by a carrion, one fictional, the other carnal.
Their combustion is triggered by the viewer. Lacerated by conflicting visions. Unexpected consequences of human interaction with primordial forces and systems beyond their control, often through the use of hubris.“La loi du Cerbère” bridges mythology and modernity, artificiality and organicity, inviting visitors to reflect on their place in an interconnected system of action and consequence. By transforming the space into a fictional threshold, the installation prompts us to consider not only what we leave behind, but also the forces we awaken by crossing these boundaries.

Louanne's research practice focuses on the hyperbole of human aspirations in the fight against death, in installations combining technological devices and imaginary realities. Linking their fictional destinies in a symbolic and chimerical anti-rationalism.
His/her subject encourages us to re-examine the profound strangeness of man's concrete relationship with technology.
