Loïc MOONS (BE) - Golden Boy

The canvas, saturated with graphic symbols, of Loïc Moons are bursting of brutal energy, induced by an intuitive overlay of colored textures and striking patterns.
Impressive and severe, humanoïd figures are looking down on us. Amongst these, robotic shapes and Manga-like characters are part of a chaotic universe full with explosive and polychromatic onomatopoeia.
For his proposition at Les Brasseurs, the artist chose to release one of his anthropomorphic figure from the canvas' surface and limits to its integration in an alternate space. A jubilatory detour, legitimate extension of his playful practice with material and color.
A massive embodiment, like a reclining Buddha, ironically aware of his awakening, is now facing us.
